I spent a long time getting over my ex. What made it worse was that she remained single for a couple of years after we broke up, and I delusionally held on to the belief that I could get her back.

When I found out she finally was in a new relationship, it hurt for a couple of days, but it was like it finally gave me the closure I needed. It became a very liberating feeling.

Hope you can push through it, Anon. Once you finally get over the hurt you'll be amazed how good you feel.

I'm going through something like that right now. His parents don't know we broke up so I still have dinner with them a couple times a month. We also still have sex once in a while.

Honestly either you can accept that's how you guys are and keep things loose or you have to just tell him choose. If you're not cool with the first one and he says no, cut him off cause he's using you.
