He's getting bored of me and it hurts. I've invested so much into him and it seems like he enjoys talking to every new girl he meets so much more, I can barely get him to focus or have conversations with me.

Any time I get upset he just waits it out and the distance hurts me so much more so I cave and apologize and try and make things sustainable.

I always think of valentines as "singles awareness day". It's a bit of a scam, more so than mothers/fathers day or xmas. I do feel empathy for genuinely lonely people. I've seen idiots at work ask the young awkward guys "so anon what are you doing?" when clearly they know they don't have a girlfriend and don't want to talk about it or hear other idiots plans for valentines day. I think it's quite rude to ask bluntly like that in an environment where everyone knows who is married or dating or single because we all walk around the same square of carpet every day for 8 hours.
