What the fuck? I didn't expect this to happen, I haven't even fulfilled a single one of my dreams and goals and now it's too late and I'm supposed to start going to work 9 to 5 and become a depressed alcoholic who's only way of having fun is meeting other depressed workers and drinking with them and talking about topics like work and marriage?

It's not that I don't have the will to live or anything, I do, more than anything. But what the hell, they give you one short life and it's this much of a disappointment? What a joke.

This has happened to me too.
At about 20, I noticed a gradual drop in energy and motivation.
By the time I hit 25, everything felt like a chore, getting out of bed every morning felt like a massive effort.

I found it harder and harder to talk with people, ever word felt like an effort.

I think it's just ageing.

25 is like second puberty that nobody warns you about. Except instead of getting muscles, growing, and only about girls, you're body starts getting shittier in subtle ways, nothing is fun anymore, and all you can think about is how even though this sucks, it's the best you're going to be as tomorrow you'll be even older.

It's a magical time. By 30 you'll hit the "fuck it" phase, hopefully, in which you weaponize your apathy.
