it works well
melatonin is a natural hormone that is secreted to encourage the body to sleep, bright light and other stuff can hamper its secretion. so melatonin pills are just supplements to make you sleep faster by putting more into the system

It does but people often quickly develop a tolerance to supplements. I used it before and it was breddy good but after the third night or so the supplements no longer did anything.

This. Its works good for awhile. I was able to falk asleep quickly from just 1-2mg, now I can take a handful without much difference

It works well. If you build up a tolerance, just take more; it's okay to take more than recommended because it is natural.

can confirm. It worked like a charm when I first started using it but now it barely works
Yeah it's alright. Sometimes gives me weird dreams and headaches, stops working if you take it too much. Not bad. I like Ativan better to help me sleep.
Recommend taking vitamin D supplements first before you mess around with melatonin. Vitamin D is a lot more predictable and it's likely your sleep issues are being caused in part by vitamin D deficiency, particularly during winter when there are fewer daylight hours. Standard adult supplement dose of Vit. D is 1000 IU. That's one or two pills depending on what bottle you buy.

It won't work so well if you're gonna stay up all night playing vidya anyways

I've used it almost every night since I started this year of college.
I guess I should lay off it
