I downed a 5 oz bottle of DXM syrup (roughly 0.8 gram dose) about half an hour ago, started on a twelve pack of molson.
DXM is the only way I can feel pleasure and wonder any more, but it makes me really fucking retarded if I binge on it.

Alcohol has very mild dissociative effects, but it's nowhere close to the feeling of going past the dissociation threshold on DXM. You're not going to have ego death from drinking alcohol.

It depends on weight. 300mg is the amount in one bottle of cough gels and probably safe for most people though. If you're not skinny there's a good chance that dose won't make you feel much, but for some people just that amount will give them a good trip. It's good to start with a smaller dose to make sure you don't have a weird allergic reaction.
