When does the solitude become loneliness?

Loneliness is a feeling. Solitude is a state of affairs.

one does no imply the other. You can be lonely and talk to people and you can be alone but have intimacy. Just because you talk to people occasionally or are talking to people doesnt mean you have friends or connect to anyone. About once a week i force myself to go down to the bar at my university and i know a fair few people there now but i hate them all. Every moment is spent in self loathing and wishing i were elsewhere. Similarly, some roastie might be alone for a day but it doesnt mean she's lonely.

When you don't want it anymore but suddenly you can't get rid of it.

Surely its loneliness that becomes solitude. When you realise that in the loneliness you develop the finest companion you will ever know, solitude.

>solitude is a state
>loneliness a feeling
I might need more of a definition but Im inclinced to agree with you.
Loneliness is surely negative? A sad emotion and longing for companionship or relationship of some kind. Is solitude a contentment of this or is it just a comfortable position within the natural state of being alone? Even among others.
when you don't enjoy it, there is a difference in being alone and being by yourself.
