Heyo! I just use Paint.NET for my dank memes. With a plugin pack I'm good to go! Plus it's quite efficient when you've memorized all of the hotkeys, can really let ya crank out them memes.

GIMP is free.

image manipulation is a useful skill to learn. There's plenty of tutorials you can watch online. Plenty of tools/brushes you can download. It's not easy if you're going in with no knowledge about photography/videogamegraphy/multimedia terms.

just watch a video to learn to navigate and what tools there are, after that google everything that you need to do.
Its so easy a 9 year old could do it,
youll realize all the memes you see are not actually impressive at all, all it takes is one click with the right tool

Drawing original shit from scratch however is where true skill and practice come in

You should invest in a good mouse if you want to learn photoshopping. A good DPI is useful for precision.

Its not really hard it just takes time learning the software. I took a class on it last semester and I learned how to make website pages and editing pictures. You could probably look up a couple videos on YouTube or something to get an idea of what to do. It does cost a little bit of money for the software though, I think like 60 or 20 dollars. Just a heads up.

Ya I had a free subscription for my book that let me have it for like 6 months. Made some funny shit on there but my hardrive cucked itself a couple months ago and I lost everything.
