those are two completely different problems with two completely different solutions.

when you're drowning it doesn't matter how thirsty you are because the water is the very source of all of your problems. and when you're so thirsty all you can see is the water that a man is currently drowning in it kind of makes you lose the sense of what's actually happening in that situation.

and let's just forget that the water could be salty, putrid, or have parasitic microbes.

It's a bit uncomfortable if it's somebody that you're not into. You mostly just ignore it until they move on.
