Do you not understand the difference between a legal resident and a trespasser? If someone is trespassing on your property without your permission, you kick them out. Nobody is trying to forcibly vacate American citizens. Lawful non-citizen residents, however, are fair game. There are a lot of Indian engineers here on H1-B visas, for example, that should be kicked out to make room for unemployed American engineers. India needs their best and brightest to be at home fixing their own country.

Their home countries will take them back, forcibly if necessary. They are required to permit entry for their own citizens under international law. If those citizens happen to be wanted criminals in their home country, then this will result in them being jailed or killed. Too bad for them.

If we grant asylum to someone, as Russia has benevolently done for Snowden, that is a different matter. Asylum should be granted to people infrequently. We don't have to take in literally all asylum-seekers. Maybe Canada or England can take some.

Refugees are not asylum-seekers. Refugees should be kept in camps, not permitted to live with the local population, because terrorists are known to sneak in among them. Also, the mere presence of a war in one's home country does not itself constitute legitimate basis for seeking refugee status. They should first seek refuge in their home countries, where the first world can provide aid if needed. Then, they should seek refuge in neighboring countries.

There should not be any refugees flooding Europe or the United States. The countries responsible for providing camps for the refugees are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and so on. If those countries cannot afford to house the refugees, we should be providing aid to enable them to do so, not accepting the refugees ourselves. This way, our limited resources can provide better aid to more refugees by avoiding wasting funds on travel expenses. Then, when the war ends, the refugees will be nearby and ready to rebuild their homeland as is their duty.
