In theory anyway. Job market is really rough right now and the way the post secondary education system is set up in most of the world, a bachelors degree will continue to lose value. It's close to meaningless right now as it is.

Best advice I can give is to learn a recession resistant trade that is not easily replaced by automation. That will be hard work though.

If you wanna be lazy you can do what I did and veer over in to career direction that is lazy by definition. That is how I wound up in security. I went to school for graphic design. Now I drive around a university campus in a jeep uh, holding it down like, keeping things "secure". It's an easy job that has about 0.25% chance of being crazy hectic and potentially terrifying. That's the trade off I have chosen to take because of the breeziness of the other 99.75%. Shit hours to start (nights) but i've been there ten years now and have enough seniority to take dibs on better shifts.

Ideally if you want to be working a wage based job you should pick something that you enjoy doing, is at a manageable stress level and schedules you how you prefer.
You can negotiate for what hours you work etc. there's no reason to keep yourself doing something that you completely hate.

i know this will sound odd, but ive been wageslaving at a job for years now, and its actually not a bad job at all (many would say). its a comfy government office job, the pay is really good, and i basically do nothng all day. a lot of people would say, omg youre so lucky, i wish i had a job like that!. but seriously, it gets old guys. there will come a point in your life when you want to actually matter somewhere. you want to feel like you make a difference. im literally that invisible guy in a cubicle, surrounded by hundreds of other guys just like me. I dont even think my boss knows my name. im just collecting a paycheck. it makes me sad, in a way. i want to contribute something in my life. i want to make a difference somewhere.
