How do robots feel about concept art?
Is it the logical conclusion of art?
Is it pretentious bullshit?
Is it an insult to the good name of art?
Is it more or less valid than abstract art?

For those who are unfamiliar, the OP pic is an art installation called "The Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" by Damien Hirst. It's a dead shark in a tank.

And here is an end view
I believe it to be neither pretentious nor brilliant, I merely believe it to be the decline and potentially the fall of the arts as we know them. The craft involved in more traditional arts and the skill involved in making them are what makes them great, an entire subclass of art that adheres to the idea of 'the finished product doesn't matter, merely my concept upon it's creation,' is frankly ridiculous. What merit is there is merely thinking something?

>Technical skill is the most important part of art
Oh come on. If you can clearly and effectively communicate a concept by simple, rudimentary means why wouldn't you?
Chris Burden and Marina Abramovic are considered trailblazers of conceptual art but there's little they've done that couldn't be replicated by a layman. It's the act and the concept driving the act that makes the art significant. Self-awareness to the concept and not the craft is what makes art great.

Wait do you mean conceptual art? I've seen pretty interesting installations but with new artists it can be hit or miss, literally one of the most subjective things ever. Marina Abramovic has some great pieces for sure

Concept art great. There is nothing more aesthetic than a bunch of ugly hook noses, who steal your money with usury, and spend it to swap worthless junk back and forth to each other. I'm uplifted each and every time I see a story about it in the media. It helps me transcend the mundane to witness a bunch of craven primitives ook ooking about a second rate piece of taxidermy.
