Agree, the best part of the game was socializing and hanging out with bros from your guild while farming dungeons.

I don't know how many times I flew over Darkon 3 just to admire the map, how excited I was when I bought my first broom lvl 20. I remember travelling all the way to Shaduwar with it as a lvl 22 just because it was so exciting to explore.

Another comfy but shitty game in somewhat the same vein as flyff

I remember there were secret points in every map where you could walk off the edge and float around in the glitchy graphical abyss, and in some cases there were points where you could get back on the map and end up in places that you ordinarily couldn't get to because of invisible walls. The fact that I knew that so well is ridiculous.

Every once in awhile he'd give me the most random games out of nowhere, and they were usually unique and actually really fucking cool.
Most notable being pic related. Not actually a video game but still a game nonetheless. Relatively unheard of, didn't know my dad to play d&d or games at all (he thought they were frivolous), and even I didn't play d&d at the time but I later grew to like it, yet he knew about them all the same and knew I would like them despite the fact that I didn't know I would like them.

anyone else here love LittleBigPlanet?

I was 11 when the first one came out, perfect age really. I made a lot of friends and had some creative and decently popular levels. It was so comfy spending afternoons after school making levels and playing the ones other people made. I don't remember specifically anyone from that time but the whole community was super great.

The sequels (or, LBP2, I never played the Kart one or LBP3) lost some of the magic of the first one by adding too many features, at least for me. Part of the fun was the somewhat restrictive creation system still allowing for super beautiful and innovative levels. Maybe I just grew out of the game too.

Playing vidya in the 90's/earlier 2000's was so comfy, the the GTA series is great. I remember the opening track to San Andreas is Kool G Rap's Road to Riches, which you can play on the radio as you leave the airport. I think its one of the comfiest moments i ever had in vidya, having played all of the main installments since GTA 1. Theyve all had a great jump in quality more or less, though the gameplay in GTA 4 wasnt really improved upon all that much. Still I loved GTA 5.
