Being nice is awesome. Of course there are different kinds of nice, and likely if you were to see into someone's reasons and intentions behind being nice (conscious or not they be of them), you'd find some not so nice things. But that's humans for you. Anyway hopefully, when exposed to those not so nice things, one could react with sympathy/compassion instead of scorn.
