Travis Bickle is an ex-Marine and Vietnam War veteran living in New York City. Stalker:

Great movie, little colour and fairly slow / quiet. From russia, noir genre. Somewhat underrated classic

Blade Runner:

More well known, in my opinion one of the best movies ever made. Watch the directors cut from 2007. Good pacing, cyberpunk noir style

Alphaville:

French movie from the 60s, black and white. About a dystopian future. Relaxed viewing

If you want more action:

Dredd

Short, actionpacked and with great pacing. Will keep you entertained from start to finish

If you don't want anything cyberpunk / scifi related:

Chinatown:

Great crime movie with jack nicholson. Has a melancholic feel to it

The Usual Suspects:

Also a crime movie, but fairly unique in its story telling. Great performance from Kevin Spacey

I thought dredd was good entertainment, but then again I'm a sucker for semi-realistic scifi, antihero protagonists and liked Dredd as a comicbook character

Obviously not in the same league as the other movies as far as quality goes, more of a popcorn kind of movie

Pic related is a quality action movie if you don't want to just have some quick entertainment
