I have it but relatively minor, nothing that bad. I still have haunting memories from high-school gym class of some kid saying "Hey anon, why do you have a big hole in your chest?" and everyone looking at me.

I work out daily, 5'11", weigh 80kg, my pecs are decent but the hole is still pretty visible.

I've never had a girl say she didn't like it, once had an ex ask if she was allowed to eat cereal out of it. I'll never be a model, but I don't think women care too much.

I had it and then I got surgery, if it is severe you should get surgery because it can worsen heart and lung problems, I had a severe case alongside with asthma so I had surgery done in 7th grade

It isn't too bad because they give you tons of morphine

I know the first 3 days are bad but I only remember about an hour or 2 of the first two days because of how much morphine I had in my system

I have something similar but different. On one side I have pectum excavatum, and on the other I have pectum carinatum. It's not really THAT bad though. Though It doesn't help me that I also have slight scoliosis and a slight kyphotic spine (due to bad posture as a result from my more formative years where all I would do is spend my time hunched over a computer screen)

Much of my confidence, or lack therefof, are due to these conditions. I am thankful that I don't have a life threatening illness, or anything like that, but this shit has caused me to always feel subhuman, and even ever since I was a boy. I would get bullied in the locker rooms, like many of you who had the same or similar conditions, and so on.

Push ups really help, most of the time your heart is protected in a pocket alike already, so most of the time it's not dangerous, yoga that works in your plexus area also helps a lot, your chest can look a lot better in a year, and if you keep working out you'll have a normal chest in a few years.
