So, where were you on 9/11?
Here's something that I know will get your nostalgia rollinbeing happy
actually enjoying video games
having your parents cook you a delicious breakfast
watching your favorite movie for the first time
watching your favorite movie for the 8th time
faking sick to skip school and playing games all day
who /zango/ here
>>34460900
I absolutely loathed my favorite movie when I saw it for the first time because it scared the fuck out of me. Doesn't scare me at all though nowadays.
You can probably easily guess what it is.
>>34460649
> Monoply
I think you're just retarded
I miss the early 2000s
i really do
Anyone else on /r9k/ nostalgic for this movie? I was 8, almost nine when this came out. Being a fan of both the original Lemony Snicket books and Jim Carrey at the time I was pretty hype.
I don't think it's held up too bad. Jim Carrey gets some pretty great and funny moments as Olaf and to this day I still waifufag Emily Browning HARD. The new Netflix show is surprisingly good and closer to the books than the movie but I don't think it's gonna displace my nostalgia for the movie any time soon.

You arent wrong.
But what gabe me aww ay?
>>34461030
There's actually a couple jabs at the movie in the new show.

That just gave me mad nostalgia. I remember preordering Pokemon Colosseum and being so hyped about hanging the poster on my wall. Sorry if too bloggy, your post just reminded me how magical having a game poster was to me and now I don't give a fuck.

>>34461030
I didn't know A Series of Unfortunate Events had been made into a movie prior to the Netflix edition! I must watch. I actually know the Carrey family quite well. Really, really great people. I wish I had read the book when I was younger.
I'm getting emotional looking at this.
>you will never see Fellowship of the Ring in theaters on Christmas Day ever again
fuck i never thought that that would be the best experience of my life. it was incredible.
>>34461316

>first grade
>everyone had an assignment to do a journal entry every day about a given subject, a couple students would be called on to read out loud to everyone what they wrote
>subject of the day is what you watched on TV last night/recently, what part you liked
>girl in class writes that she watched the lost episode of SpongeBob and that she liked the part where you could see his butt cheeks
>just reads this out loud to the whole class like it's nothing
Good times.

Forgot to mention, we had to include a drawing too. And you'd have to show that to the whole class. Yup, the girl drew Bat!SpongeBob's butt cheeks for all to see.

For the most part I'd agree with you, though I did really enjoy Dark Souls III recently, but that's about it. The industry is kind of fucked however in a lot of corners, along with a lot of old talent being on their way out being replaced with a lot of shit. I remember when people were astounded that DLC would even be allowed, that it wouldn't take off at all because it was shit cash grab concept. Now it's fucking the standard of the industry, games ship with content on the disc you have to pay extra for later even.
>>34461316
>ace combat 4 and gran turismo 3
best fucking shit ever. period.
