whaddup OP. BPD here, too. There's a weird number of people on this board with BPD... It's only about as common as schizophrenia. Is 4chan or /r9k/ the source of our trauma? Ofc, not everyone with BPD has had a traumatic experience. I know all of mine were later in life, when I was 17.

jesus have these people just never tried therapy or anything at all? Have they never tried to get better, or improve themselves as a person? So many BPD people just seem off the wall. I'm 9 out of 10 on DSM-IV for borderline and I've never been this psycho towards my boyfriend or whatever...

Its a personality disorder, psychiatry's way of saying 'can we fix it? No, it's fucked'. There is no drug, therapy, or procedure to fix a broken personality. All you can do is tell them what's right and wrong and hope they go along with it even though it doesn't come natural to them. I believe autism should be removed from developmental disorders and classified the same way. I'm fucked up too, and there's no treatment, but for some reason we get a different umbrella in the dsm.
