Did you guys ever go to summer camp? ITT:Summer Camp Stories

i was a Boy Scout when i was 13, and my week at camp was the best ever. nothing to bother me. it was paradise. on your free time you could go to the pool, ho fishing, hiking, or learn skills like painting, pottery, and archery. some people took up cooking, using meat from fish, and the animals unlucky enough to get caught in traps. also took a 5 mile trip to a field and slept on tarp under the stars. i spent most of my days catching bugs, fishing, and taking strolls. i got a really nice tan, too.

No thank god. Instead I would sometimes go on hunting and fishing trips and the like before my uncle lost it around late 2012-early 2013.

Any summer camp memories I have are faded patchworks of shooting things and sleeping in tents.

There was one time where I slept in a yurt and that was pretty cool. I remember I accidentally walked into the girl's cabin at one point, when we were first getting unpacked.

Day 1:
>Get chased by a friend and smash through a giant glass window, somehow don't get hurt

Day 2:
>Chubby kid links toilet seat on a dare, throws up

Day 3:
>Fire alarm somehow set off by steam from the shower makes a kid run naked out of the shower and into the cold

Day 4:
>Pretend to be slaves and do the underground railroad while being yelled at as people pretending to be slave masters

Day 5:
>Play basketball, go home

holy shit it was a fucking nightmare

yes , my brother went to a summer camp for like 4 years. i became older for the same camp. i didn't like it. i was pretty much a mute there or talked less. i went to a basketball camp too a friend and i went there. we just trained for basketball then like last day was a champion game.

A whole week without any privacy or personal time. Constant organized activities including my most hated, some nonsense noise song that you had to mime shit while touching strangers' faces.

Fuck, just leave me at home by myself for a week instead.

My biggest moments of social validation happened at church camp.

>bigger, faster, and stronger than everyone else

>the guys in our cabin were tons of fun

I started working at the camp because I hate going home at summer time. I don't even believe in jesus and I would rather be surrounded by christfags than be at home

>be me, 7th grade
>go to some christfag camp with good friends at the time
>it's not too bad as far as I can remember, went paint balling a lot so that was fun

>one day it's worse then usual

>can see the cabin coming up the hill
>LAUNCH IS READY WHEN YOU ARE SIR
>legs are on fire from waddling like a quarter mile, I can feel my ass twitching
>HIS DEFENSES ARE GOING DOWN GENERAL
>40 feet from the cabin, I can't hold it anymore
>FIRE IN THE HOLE

>waddle and hold my pants in an awkward way so nothing drops out my pant legs
>make it to the bathroom

>take my pants off and dump the shit into the toilet

>basically crying at this point at the thought of somebody finding out
>still in the stall, trying to get as much shit off as I can with toilet paper
>hear the door to the cabin open

>here voices getting louder
>bathroom door opens, friends walk in

>start fucking freaking out about the smell of shit that has just absorbed the room
>like shakily say "hah yeah I'm fine just had to go pretty bad"

>wait until it's completely silent except for my heavy breathing
>Start washing them in the sink
>do as best I can but I can still smell the shit a little
>sneak my way to my stuff, wrap them in 3 plastic bags and cover them with dirty clothes
>put on new pants and go join my friends

Went back the next year, had ptsd every time I saw the cabin, but still managed to Have fun
