Lol I actually did bring my resume to the McDonald's interview, they said they were impressed and liked when people did that even if it wasn't necessary (at least that's what they said to my face). I mean, I got the job, so they couldn't have made fun of me that badly. The interview was extremely casual, just don't sperg out too hard, and you should be golden.

You'll still need to fill out an application asking for that kind of information, but you shouldn't need a resume for an entry level job like that. They'll probably want SOME kind of reference, just someone who could vouch for you maybe. I don't think I had any really, but I was also a college graduate by the time I got my first job, so they knew I couldn't be COMPLETELY retarded. Just retarded enough to be 22 without any experience.

Also being willing to work any hours, any position always helps.

They actually asked me during the interview whether I'd prefer working up front or in the back. I lied and said either was fine, even though I'd rather shoot myself than deal with the social anxiety of working counter/window. But I got lucky, and they just wound up putting me in the back. I think they could smell the robot on me and knew I wasn't suited for dealing with the customers. You could just tell them you'd prefer cooking, don't know what it's like for other places though.

When you get more experience, they will encourage you to switch and learn more, but I only had to like once in my entire 1.5 year career, and all I did was hand out food. They had a steady stream of high school girls to work up front, so they didn't bug me too much about it.
