Sorry, lad, I don't mean to contradict you but we won't have the resources available to sustain our global population growth for much longer. Our only hope is that the top level scientists and the powers that be are sitting on classified technology that will greatly reduce consumption and greatly increase output. If not, we are almost certainly a species doomed to regress a thousand years very soon.

>>34375877
I'm pretty confident that as the situation gets more dire the efforts will be concentrated better

we're in no worse a position to do so than we have been since the development of the atomic bomb, and if we ever reach a point where we inflict that upon ourselves, we thoroughly deserve it for even going that far

yeah, I'm the same anon, I'm just an extremely underconfident and anxious person who struggles to open up to people and that unfortunately extends to a bunch of anonymous people who for all I know could be just like me

>>
>>34377008
literally all you need is an SIA license, 300 sterling for 3 years of validity, you'll need extra certification if you want to be a bouncer or something but agencies usually set you up with those training courses

>>34377021
>The problem of complacency
a-fucking-men

it doesn't help that my last two jobs were stressful as shit, this one is quiet and comfy and doesn't involve anything stressful at all unless a fire breaks out or something

>Is the security guard meme real? Can you watch Netflix and that or do you have to keep busy?
it's 100% real, at least for me
I do have some obligations but when I'm not fulfilling those I just piss around on 4chan and watch netflix

I do little art projects in my time off and I was writing a book, since I'd love to be an author for a living, but I realised not long back that I hated everything I'd written after I got 40,000 words into it and now I'm having a bit of a confidence crisis, I don't want to be a security guard forever but I can't see any other alternative in my future
>>
>>34377137
>SIA license,

A..are they hard to get, anon?
>>
>>34377137
It does sound comfy desu, I can see why you're still there. Could you save a good amount of money then quit to take some to explore alternate routes? Or isn't that viable? I'd say keep working on your books mate, even if nothing comes of it, gotta imagine it's good to have a creative outlet. If its like anything else you'll keep improving if you keep at it and overcome the confidence issues.
>>
>>34377208
you got a criminal record, anon?

if not, not even remotely

but I'd strongly recommend against getting into this game unless you really, really, really need the money, because it can be horrible if you get one of the non-cushy sites and it's too easy to get stuck in it

>>34377227
>Could you save a good amount of money then quit to take some to explore alternate routes? Or isn't that viable?
sadly not, I've got other obligations my money needs to go towards and quitting would jeopardise them

I'd love to though, once I've got enough money saved I'm hoping to go travelling because I feel like I've sat in one place enough for one lifetime
feels like a distant dream though desu

you're right about the creative stuff, I shouldn't give up on it because it's what I've always wanted to do, it's just disheartening to realise you've worked so hard on something and you don't like anything about it
must be how my parents feel
>>
>>34377287
I'm currently in the situation of having saved money and quit my job. Had plans to go traveling but now I'm paranoid about spending my money and I don't know where to go. Fair enough, sometimes you gotta chug along a bit longer to get what you want. Hope you find your calling anyway anon. And yea, I can imagine it just be hard reviewing your own work. Its hard not to be hyper critical of things you produce yourself. Maybe let someone else look at it to get another perspective? Its hard to know if a things good or bad when you've spent so much time with it.

take my advice with a pinch of salt though, it's likely not worth much

thanks for the support, I'll see if anyone I know is willing to give it a once-over, though I'm terrified they'll put it down and just say "it's shite, mate"

>>34377574
you've got two options: apply to a security company without it and see if they offer a scheme to apply on your behalf and pay them back in time or increments, or go to http://www.sia.homeoffice.gov.uk/ and follow the rigmarole of applying for it yourself

there was also a library in there that I hated going in, because more than once I heard someone walking right behind me and breathing in my ear

I'm off for two weeks so trying to change my pattern so I can actually do shit during the day.

Planning a day trip to Newcastle on wednesday so need to adjust my sleep, so the fact I'm up now is good because I'll probably crash out around 9, and need to get up about 5, get ready and plan to leave about 6 in the morning. Cheeky wee drive busting out the tunes on the way down.

I've been saving my money for the most part, and have a decent wedge saved, but I'm thinking of dropping the misses, which means I'll need the extra pennies for rent until I get a cheaper place to rent because I really don't want to go back up in days at work. (I do 4 days a week and get a grand a month so can't complain.)

Sometimes I just think of packing in the wife, the job, and just going off the grid (or moving back with the parents even though I'm almost 30.)

Plus, 80% sure my sperm is shite so probably wont have kids. If I cared more I'd go to the doctors.

I'm comfy, and as bad as it sounds, I like the easyness of the job. I don't want some job where I come home stressed and angry and have no time to do things I enjoy. I just see it as paying my rent, and I'm not even embarrased about the fact I work here.

Not him but I've been a security guard for a few years before. It really depends on where you're stationed. we realised that life is an animalistic struggle not to die until we inevitably die anyway, and all being human means is that we built a bunch of extra bollocks around it to make us feel like it somehow matters

I'm not looking to die, to be honest, but I'm accepting of the fact that I will and it could come out of nowhere
I see the meaninglessness of existence as being quite profound, it means my "purpose" is literally just to exist and observe existence, so that's what I'll do until I'm gone

I hope one day you find your reason to keep going anon, but we're all here if you need us

Citalopram fucked my brain, I've never been able to think clearly since I took it for 2 months year ago. I've stayed off pills since then because I don't want to make it even worse.

That's brutal mate. Ever thought about going for a few pints with your dad. He have any interests? Cars, bikes, football?

I'm thinking of taking my Dad to the TT for his 60th in 2 years. I've always wanted to go and love bikes and know he does too.

Sometimes it just adds up mate. I've noticed I've been making suicide jokes in RL a lot lately which is usually when I know I'm in the bad spells.

You can claim for ESA, but will have to leave your job if you can't face it, and sign on JSA until it's sorted.
Sucide is never a clear cut escape though mate, as you learned. Also, pills are a bad idea. I don't want you to kill yourself, but for me, I've always toyed with middle of the night bridge jumping and I still might one day.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go back to work though, after something like that, you don't want fake niceness.

>>34379794
Was on fluoxetine for a bit back in 07, didn't really do much for me, and I ended up feeling worse. Then again, this was a period of abusing all and any pills I could get in my system.

I also didn't like citalopram. It didn't have lasting effects but I couldn't concentrate (almost failed my stats paper) and fell asleep at random times during the day.

I liked venlafaxine- worked with no side effects- but the withdrawal was terrible. Brain shocks suck.

I said I didn't want to go on antidepressants ever again to my psychologist once I relapsed.

How are you this morning?
I hope you're doing well and if you're not, I hope you'll feel better soon.

What are you guys up to today?

Anybody left from the night shift? Did you get up to much?
Thank you for keeping /britfeel/ alive for longer!

Conception is the point at which life begins, this is an undeniable fact. Abortion is murder, and feminists love the control that it gives them. It's not done from any ethical or moral standpoint, they simply get off on power over life or death.

Hearts stop all the time and it doesn't make the person temporarily dead. They are still living.

>>34381534
That's true, sperm and egg are alive, but they are not a human. It is only when they combine - when their DNA combines into a new strand is when a new human life has been created. Life exists on the atomic level.
>>
>>34381522
yes there fucking is

Abortion is legal in England up to 24 weeks, as that's around the time that we've as a society have decided there is "life"

In addition, if there is a substantial risk to the woman's life or foetal abnormalities, there is no time limit. (this is for downies and stuff)

throwing in shit about "oh well a baby isn't really thinking until 2 years bla bla bla" just makes you look like a dickhead
>>
>>34381537

Conception should be when it's considered human, rather than something arbitrary like when your heart starts or brain sends a signal.

People can be brain dead and still classed as alive and not allowed to die, and people can be strapped up to machines that pump blood around them to keep them alive.

That being said, who cares what other people do, any sane person should allow Abortion to be legal as well as Assisted Suicide.

Reminder that many old people, even those in their 80's buy and abuse opiates like codeine, morphine and heroin. This is usually because of chronic pain, and they often feel their prescribed medication is insufficient.

Shipman's claim about Kathleen Grundy was not as absurd as everyone first assumed.
>>
>>34381590
There is no clear definition of life. There is no clear medical consensus on when abortions should stop. 24 weeks is an ambiguous timeframe because no date of conception is required.

The second half of your posts discusses whether the murder is justified which I've already told you we're not.

A woman can, on her own whim and with no input required from the father, terminate a child during pregnancy. This is what feminism promotes. That is wrong.

As a child this is only 'sleeps til Christmas'. As a wagecuck it's 'roll on the weekend'. By middle age it's 'retirement's just around the corner'. Everyone wastes their life, just willing the bulk of it to disappear. I wish I could just lose this entire year, having been without alcohol and having worked out for all that time. It's usually shit like physical appearance or illness I pine for.
I think it's a form of self-loathing if you extrapolate it.

Example that doesn't actually come up: I'm glad both my legs work, this is greatly convenient for me.
I then realize I can't ride around in a wheelchair without people thinking I'm a cunt, because my legs work.
I then get intrusive thoughts about how I might get away with breaking my legs so that I can ride in a wheelchair without anyone thinking I'm a cunt.

I'd never act on it and I'm always completely honest with medical staff when I've got a problem instead of exaggerating (which is why I use the example of actually breaking legs instead of just lying), but it's an interesting form of intrusive thought.
It's not the medical attention that interests me, but the overall thing of it being an attribute I don't (currently) have.

That's basically the problem. It's not about convenience, or any similar rational judgement. (i.e. "if i was in a wheelchair i'd be a totally different person")

It amounts to little more than intrusive thought. Rational-mindedness will ensure my legs remain unbroken until the bloke at the morgue drops me on the floor and then hurriedly saws down the kneebone to hide what he did so it all looks good under a suit trouser.

I'd fucking hope so since the lazy cunt doesn't even work.

No mate, she has ruined it and you're the reason.
>>
>>34383096
>Having a job is something unbelievable

Posting from my desk in my office. Not everyone has mad personality disorders mate.
>>
>>34383130
no you proved that she does cook vegetables, i said i've never seen her cook them
>>
>>34383105
she is deep into neet and issues so she probably could post here and fit in desu, I think its going fine.
>>34383131

sad
>>
>>34383135
>calls other people lazy
>pretends to have a job
>spends his time at pretend job not doing work
>>
>>34383135
You do have a personality disorder - doing what you're told by strangers.
>>
>>34382889
There isn't enough work for everyone. If you're one of those people dumb enough to wageslave when you don't have to then that's on you buddy
>>
>>34383157
>Spends his time at his job not doing work

I have a productivity system I use that involves taking regular breaks and I usually spend them on here.
>>34383165
>>34383178
It's sad that you feel the need to justify yourselves this way. Although a part of me can understand it. It can't be nice for society to tell you that you're useless.

there truly is no hope for you.
>>
>>34383157
>actually doing work at work

Who do you think I am
>>
>>34383285
It's the truth, though. Proof: the fact that you get paid to sit on your ass browsing 4chan. I do the same, except I don't have to get up at 7am and drive to an office like a cuck
>>
>>34383347
I get up at 8am. And I bet I get paid a great deal more than you do.
>>
>>34383361
I should hope so, you're pissing your whole life away.
>>
>>34383072
The only tabletop game I've played was hosted by a polish chick. It was alright.
>>
>>34383386
I'm proud of the stuff that I make here.

I'd be pissing my life away if I was sitting around doing nothing while all my mates and my girlfriend were at work, alone in a shit flat because I couldn't afford my nice house full of nice stuff.

I'd be pissing my life away if I didn't have the money to travel all over the world and experience loads of different things.

But whatever suits you mate. If you like sitting in a darkened room alone with nothing to be proud of then fair play to you.
>>
>>34383072
I've got two girls in my regular group, one ruins it, one is pretty into it. The ruiner ruins everything we do though, I don't let it affect the game because I'm used to it now.
>>
>>34383290
That's rich coming from an orbiter.
How many times have you been called up by a girl to come over while her boyfriend's out I wonder?
>>
>>34383451
>she still plays
whya re you so beta
>>
>>34383482
For the past few sessions I've been trying to get her character into dangerous situations on her own. She is the weakest so eventually she will die and lose interest.
>>
>>34383435
How many days does your boss let you have off while you're "traveling all over the world"?
>>
>>34383451
How so? I've only ever played tabletop properly once
>>
>>34383561
25 days a year paid time off. I can take more time off unpaid too, if I choose.
>>
I can't stop fiddling with myself and now my hand smells really strongly of penis
>>
>>34383597
>i-i have a j-job really, i just take 'little' breaks to browse 4chan!
>has been posting for at least an hour
does your 'boss' know that you're on a website with racist, sexist, homophobic, anti Semitic views and cp while you're supposed to be 'working'?
>>
>>34383583
I think at the start of the campaign she thought she HAD to join in because the rest of the group was, even though we make it clear she doesn't have to play. So now she barely engages, doesn't RP, never knows whats going on and is basically a waste of a PC. She does it with loads of stuff we do as a group, she doesn't seem to have her own opinions or interests so she'll go along with what everyone else does. I just ignore her character for the most part, unless there's a big bad that could easily kill her.
>>
>>34383644
>tfw am the it at work so can do whatever

Its a nice feel
>>
>>34383668
Ah thats a bit shit then. I can imagine doing something like that with someone whos not into it is shit.
