I have never had any romantic relationship with anybody, not even close, and even I didn't stay hugless. You need to hug people - including girls - during celebrations. Have you never celebrated Christmas, birthday, etc. at work or school? Hugging is like a more friendly handshake.
I know we're (almost) all the time at home, and I am as well, but don't tell me you haven't been at least forced to socialize.

Uh, nope. Nobody outside family was ever aware of my bday except a few male friends in high school, and I've never celebrated holidays at work
