Having a gf is a good distraction for a while, you can even trick yourself into believing you're finally happy. But eventually even that fades away and all of your self-loathing and hatred come back and it destroys your relationship.

Been like that for a while, both of us depressed, can't maintain the connection. I'm constantly trying to get us both out, do the standard shit shrinks tell you to help depression, exercise, eat a balanced diet, see friends often, because can't hurt. She just sits there and eats shit and sleeps. Only way i can cope is smoking/drinking, no matter how many times i sit down and tell her you need to do more to help the relationship, a week goes by and shes doing the same toxic shit. Is it time?
