I got a great love for Gurren Lagann. Though, over time I have realised that it has some really low lows with a few really high highs.

Last anime that I really enjoyed was Humanity has declined, the style of humor the show had with the protagonist and the fairies was great.

Also konosuba because it's just so ridiculous and over the top retarded it's a parody of all the popular "teen boy gets transported into a mmorpg universe" anims.

I'd like to recommend a lot of things, but I think Girls und Panzer is a good choice whether you're really into anime or not. It's an easy and fun watch.

Often go back and watch Welcome to the NHK every couple of months, for obvious reasons in that it's pretty relatable, and really good in general.

Haikyuu was really good, highly recommend if you're ever interested in trying a sports anime.

Ippo had its moments, I honestly really enjoyed it but seems to be hit or miss with a few people.

Currently watching through Bakuman with a bro, kind of made me wish that I had such motivation when I was a teen, still, seems pretty comfy so far.

I feel as if everything I watch is entry-level and pleb tier

Among my most enjoyed in no particular order are:
yuyu hakusho, grew up watching this ov adult swim and loved it, when ifinally watched the whole thing years later, i feel the quality drops off after the dark tournament.

berserk(disliked the newest one though,) really just fucking enjoyed this in almost every way. I have no idea why they haven't continued it. Anyone know if the Manga continues on or no?

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. Its hated by so many people, but for me its pretty much perfect. It represents mmorpgs as I love them, the whole premise of being trapped inside a mmorpg is the best setting.

As long as it entertains me and I have a good time throughout I will like it. For anyone else its whatever, its your time not mine.

One thing about naruto though is the filler is just too intense. At the end of shippuden I skipped tons of the episodes because I just could not sit through the 10 episode filler blocks to wait for two episodes that reveal the enormous parts of the end plot. Watching filler is hard, especially if you are watching back to back for hours like I do, its like dedicating your time to watching 4 hours of content that isn't actually happening or relevant to the story. On the flip side there are some super great filler episodes in naruto, the episode where naruto has a flash back to the time him and sasuke had their hands glued together is one the springs to mind.

Just finished Muv Luv Total Eclipse. It was alright, would waifu Tarisa or Cui. Stella also.

The structural issues comes from the fact that they merged the two light novels. I recognized this problem immediately. The first 3 episodes make it out to be a zombie show in disguise, but then it goes full harem. But Kirito x Asuna is still cute enough for me to forgive it. But then alfhiem, gun gale, and excalibur sucked until 2 was somewhat redeemed by mother's rosario.

2011 is so fucking ugly what was the director thinking? killua is NOT that moe and god damn chrollo has a disgusting face. why was every scene so damn bright and every bgm so out of place/recycled? the original had a much more compenent director who wasn't afraid to take liberties unlike the cookiecutter shitter in the remake.

There was an animu I watched about 2-3 years ago, I just can't remember the name of it to save my fucking life.

All I remember was that there were two girls, one was kinda reserved, tallish, dark hair, and the other was outgoing/spoken, had either pink/orange/red hair, and loved sweets, I think?
I think the tall girl could tell the future, or had some type of magical power/was cursed with something. The one scene I remember well enough, was when the tall girl had been outside the school they go to, and saw the pink haired girl talking/flirting with some guy? She went up to her friend and said, 'Hey, you shouldn't mess with him, he's a player.' Her friend got mad, I think, and called her some names, and stormed off. The tall girl got sad, and threw away the present she had for her, I believe?

it's mostly for the "dark" take on magical girls and the mascot creature being not so innocent. starts out cute and then devolves. the similarities are there imo

Pretty great show with some nice characters, pretty great battle scenes, and all with WWII era tanks

The main plot is interesting and the battle scenes are good. The sub plot with the robotic child is a little weird though. This one got me interested in warships a lot

This one has high school girls taking command of WWII era warships who get involved in a situation where they are accused of mutiny and hunted by other school ships. The combat scenes are good and I like how general life on the ship was shown with the slice of life stuff kept to a minimum. What I really liked about this series is how the end of the episode gives a link into the next one

Girls who have the spirit of WWII ships inside them and don miniature warship equipment when they set out to attack an alien like force. At first I dropped this one because the plot behind it was a little too out there for my liking but after giving it another try I've sort of warmed to it. I've never read the Arpeggio manga but from what I've heard the anime is quite different to the manga in terms of plot points and some battle outcomes.

The main characters are all there though.
