Any robots experience this?

Ever since I was 14, I remember never being able to fall sleep until around 3 AM. In high school I was up every night until almost 4 AM, which significantly affected my performance in class. I still got a majority of A's and B's so I wonder how I would have been if I got a normal night of sleep every day.

I feel much sharper when I'm awake at night, I can write better essays, learn math better, basically understand most subjects better. During daytime I feel lazy and relaxed, and my mind is cloudy.

Now in university I perform much better because I've registered for classes which are later in the day, so I don't have to start school at 7 AM like before. My first class is at 1 PM, so I sleep from 4 AM to 12 PM and feel much more refreshed than I usually would.

In high school I'd sleep from 4 AM to 6 AM and then in the afternoon from 2 AM to 8 AM, because otherwise I'd be a mess. My parents never understood, they always yelled at me for the way I slept, even though I got good grades, didn't party and do drugs, etc.

I just fear that once I graduate and have to get a job, I won't be able to find a job with hours that suits my needs. Before noon I can literally not function without feeling anxious, unless I'm sleeping. Coffee always helps but I don't want to feel like I'm half awake for the rest of my life.

What's a good job for night owls?

You could become a prostitute.

a sith lord

I have the same, are you also a genius by IQ definitions? I coasted by in both because of the class schedules. I will not wageslave earlier than 11a.m. because of my sleep schedule and normies never understand. I mean they understand less about this than how little they understand everyhing else

I'm the exact same. Senior year of HS currently, it's 1:45am.
Help.

Sucking cock for money doesn't sound that bad. But taking it up the butt would be uncomfortable.

I wouldn't say I'm a genuis. I mean school is easy, I always took AP and honors classes, but didn't get all A's because of performance on tests (I was sleepy). Overall, most people think I'm pretty smart, but I won't say genius. Call me a genius when I invent something that makes me rich and able to sleep whenever the fuck I want.

Also, what did you major in anon? I still haven't chosen a major, and I need to by the end of this semester. I'm thinking computer science, but not 100% sure.

Kek. 3:13 AM here. Just hold out, it'll get better in college.

Huh, I've actually been diagnosed with this by a sleep specialist. He said people sometimes grow out of it and after some failed treatments he intimated that unless that happened I'm fucked.

I'm a fully nocturnal NEET now, so I guess he was right.

Maths is my least favorite subject desu, like I'm not bad at it, I've gotten A's and B's, but I just don't enjoy it that much.

>>34355538
How old are you? I'm 18, I doubt I'll grow out of it. Weed apparently helps you sleep I've heard, but its still illegal in my state. Hopefully they'll legalize recreational marijuana here.

progamming and engineering and also some types of researchers like maths. any line of work that is project based with some autonomy. 21st century is great for people like us.

Went to sleep at 6a.m here.
I can't function properly before 3p.m

I'm exactly the same. Delayed sleep phase, and also a short sleeper (about 6 to 7 hours, usually.)

I go to bed anywhere between 2am to 4am, usually closer to 2 than to 4, and wake up anywhere between 9 to 12. I also have to take melatonin to facilitate feeling tired (I do eventually get exhausted, but never as tired as when I take the melatonin, which is presumably how people are supposed to feel.)

During high school, I solved this problem by dosing myself with the melatonin until i'd fall asleep (even then, I couldn't get to bed until 12am or so, would have to wake up at 5:30 to 6). I brought up the idea of having DSPD to my doctor, and she had said that it wouldn't be worth getting diagnosed, since I already had a solution to it, so I'm not officially diagnosed, but I'd be genuinely surprised if I didn't have it.

I'm 20 and was diagnosed 5 years ago. I doubt it's ever going away. Even if it does, the damage is done.

Weed's illegal here too. I only smoke once in a blue moon but it helped every time, even if the high had completely worn off by the time I went to bed.

One of my buddies has access to medical marijuana due to some physical condition. He's told me the best nights of sleep he gets are when he smokes. God I wish weed was legal here, it has so many benefits. I'm too autistic to find a dealer, and paranoid that it'll be a cop. I would never try to buy illegally.

Just gonna leave this here.

"DSPD-friendly careers can include security work, the entertainment industry, hospitality work in restaurants, theaters, hotels or bars, call center work, manufacturing, emergency medicine, commercial cleaning, taxi or truck driving, the media, and freelance writing, translation, IT work, or medical transcription."

I have the same issue and I hope this helps. It's probably for the best that you accept the condition instead of fucking yourself up even more by trying to "fix" it.

I got diagnosed with this in secondary school and its been a nightmare and I dropped out because of all the grief it was causing.

Its also the reason why I've been NEET for 10 years.
