If you require your laptop for your work it makes it a bit trickier. As soon as you start getting distracted with something other than your work, it makes it much harder to get back into. If there's any music that makes you feel relaxed and comfy, try listening to that while you're doing your work, assuming you have headphones with you.
The real trick to actually doing School work is to at at least tolerate/enjoy it. This is obviously much harder with work that is boring/difficult, but it can be enjoyable if you're comfy enough, and can develop at least some interest in the subject. If you can stay focused on doing your work, it will make things much better. Also try doing school work while eating a tasty meal, if you can cycle between eating and working, it can be much more pleasant.

The main things are doing the work outside of your room, and avoiding distraction. If you succeed, you might also be rewarded with the feeling of accomplishment, which is pretty good.
