This place is fucking useless if not making things worse for a large majority of people.
What's our endgame? You go to /g/ to learn about technology, you go to /v/ to discuss videogames. /r9k/ seems to have no purpose except just admitting that your life is miserable.
This isn't a board to reform yourself, about 3% of the threads are on the coin of "how do I get better at this" and basically every reply is some version of "You can't it's pointless women only want chad there's zero point in trying to better yourself"
No one takes solace in this place because everyone's a fucking asshole
No one discusses anything here, the amount of posts that are actually substantial arguments are negligible in the face of ambiguous sarcastic memespeak
That's /r9k/ in premise but whatever entertainment like running jokes we had have been beaten in to the ground so much they're subterranean. At this point I don't even understand why people come here except for because they don't know any better. This place is basically just a drug that you need to cut off.

The only way to change this board is by destroying it. Merely putting a band-aid on this shit will go nowhere. No point in feeding a dead horse when the flies around it will continue to increase in number. We need to rid ourselves of /r9k/ and create a new normie proof board where robots can prosper and engage without the threat.
It is the only way. I know it is hard to except, but the /r9k/ you once knew it gone. I heard talk of some anons wanting a /hikki/ board. Look into that.

The point of this board is commiseration and venting. It also occasionally offers some brutal honesty that you won't get elsewhere, and some laughs along the way.
Most of it is, of course, shit, but it's not as though the board has some grand purpose or topic. It's a board that offers an outlet for outcasts to talk to other outcasts.
