I see these and I want to say your shit and you should stop, but I can't draw shit 1/1000 of the quality of these. If you want my tip i play music and when I can't think of something to write I widen the horizons of what I listen to. If you want to improve what you draw and buil upon your abilities I'd recommend drawing something out of your comfort zone and/or in a style you've never drawn before

This is the stupidest advice. If you wanted to learn styles, you focus on styles. If you want to learn to DRAW, you draw. If you want to apply styles to your drawings, you do that with the ability to draw as its first part.
Repeatedly draw the same shit. Over ad over. All the fucking time. Improve your hands muscle memory and your minds ability to synch to it, remember appearances of things it has noticed in visual memory and from having drawn this fucking thing so many times before, then keep doing that. Do it with more things. Forever. There is no end game.
But you draw repeatedly and obsessively. Iterative drawing or some shit.

You're playing with movement and body shapes, it is simplified enough to be done in repetition.
Get sheets of paper and draw these types of characters over and over and focus on what of their movement and shapes look natural, and what doesn't. Each time, bear that in mind. Look at each one afrter. Learn. Repeat.

I was doing this sort of thing before ever hearing the term. Just obsessing over drawing a particular appearance of an animal, learning its shapes and correspondence to bones by repeatedly drawing that one, then thinking of how its shapes and bones and the way those move work in relation to other similarly composed living things. Then focusing on their specific details. Ie: shifting from the idea of a dog head as a base foundation, and repeatedly arranging the shapes with a lion's head in mind in order to focus on what specific shapes, widths, and details make it discernible from a dog's head.

No, you just have to focus on shapes and on organic movement of shapes. If you have stiff skeletal structure accurately measured, but without movement, it looks weird. You work on getting the idea for the "form" right now. Over time you refine that form.

Drawing is a constant learning experience. So I'm always readings and learning new techniques and I find learning about this stuff enjoyable. Experimentation is fun to. And that sort of high I get when I make a nice drawing. Trying different mediums is fun to like dabbling in water colors and ink. If none of this enjoyable for u then do something else that isn't drawing

what do you drawfags see in your "mind's eye"? like can you keep a clear image of something there, and your struggle is only to coordinate your hand movements to replicate it on paper, like as if you were using your physical eyes and drawing to draw a cup in front of you?
i literally can't keep an image in my head for longer than a split second. the most i can do is have sort of a 2FPS type thing where it's in my mind for a split second, then it distorts/jumps to a different position like choppy framerate

Honestly never thought about it. I kind of have the abstract idea in my head. I am however extremely good at visualizing things in my head, you kind of have to have all the key abstract pieces already set into stone and those together make the visual in your head that you can pen onto paper.
