Kinda related, I feel a little less sad when occasionally when I read about suicides and other misfortunes that lead to death. Though when I feel like that I am usually at my lowest and I have fucked up somehow, or my life is coming apart in some other way. Usually I feel a little sad when I read about those kind of things but then think that they are not my problem and I have more than enough things to feel bad about on my own.
