I was in similar situation with anime, but after showing them my MAL account kids in high school treated me like some kind of anime sage. T'was pretty cool.
Nowadays I'm more interested in books and movies because except some classics anime is 99% shit.

My hobbie is learning the rules of board games then trying to forget them within a day.
nobody understands it. I do it because my grandmother died of dementia complications (she forgot to go home and froze to death in a park) so I am trying to master my memory.
