I'm basing it on a documentary I saw some years ago. I didn't really know about the straight edge movement at that point but it didn't seem nice. I was effectively straight edge since I abstained but found all this weird baggage attached to it; the idea of it being a 'movement' seemed odd and the adherents quite unpleasant and hostile.
