I didn't enjoy 1984, which is just personal taste, but I am getting really tired of crackpots referring to 1984. I know there is government surveillance but we are not living in 1984.

They both made important points, both severely criticized the abuse of good ideals, which has become something ubiquitous in the modern world and a major issue in any democracy.

If you genuinely want your socialist ideals to work you have to address the criticism. Unfortunately normies don't give a shit about this and the only people who seem to understand this are worthless fedora tipping robots like me who reckon they are "freethinkers" or maybe a tiny minority of actual freethinkers who have given up and just don't care anymore.

You're never going to change the world, in fact it is morally questionable whether you should try to help people who will never share your utopian outlook, but there is a small chance you can change your own life, and this is where people like Ayn Rand come in.

This does seem to be the case, less people are unemployed but the admin talks about how it lowered unemployment we just have more NEETs and part time employees working multiple part time jobs, use to be you could get a job and raise a nuclear family off one job not work multiple jobs to afford to work. Then they say the stimulus recovery boosted income but it all went to people that already had huge incomes that didn't recover anything it was just a hand out to the already rich.

It's the unemployment part that really annoys me. You get job advice and people are giving you advice to do the things that lead to the economic crises- behave economically in a way that lead to a economic problem. It's like people don't even want to acknowledge a problem exists. The whole reduced unemployment and recovery shit is just feeding right back into the pretend no problem exists sentiment. I just don't see how anyone is going to fix this fucking mess. We have this problem because people want the problem to exist and we just gave them a fucking stimulus hand out to keep doing it.
