Snowy cities at night!
I wouldn't mind if everything stayed white and dark permanantly like it does when it snows
>>34249973

>>34249981
move to the city if you get the chance
its 80% better than the country and %100 better than suburbia
>>34249973

not that heavy tho
>>34250133
Man, that image would be max comfy if it had dark snowy weather.
>>34250085
Yeah one day I want to move to a big city and be able to see things like this everyday
>>34249981
I went to LA once on summer for work purposes, I was staying in a mansion in Hollywood Hills, me and my coworkers had 2 days off and bought a couple of beers, sit at the balcony/pool area looking at downtown LA with a bright full moon shining all over the city. It looked something like this, those were the best days of my life
>>34250242
i'm not that close to the city i'm about 10-20 minutes away by train but its still super close and it feels like the city more than anywhere also this is one from the city i live in
>>34250290
Damn. I wish i could experience that.
>>34250311
Closest city is probably 50-60 minutes away from me.

I have nothing to type here
>>34250290

>>34249855
I'm getting a Mirror's Edge vibe from this. Catalyst is so comfy standing at the edge of a skyscraper at night.

>cities are comfy
i declare myself an enemy of /r9k/ at this moment
A comfy image with an original comment.
Comfy hometown is comfy.
>>34252027
Cities like New York get rain pretty often, I think. It's also the aspect of so many lights (street lamps, etc.) at night that make it comfy. Maybe it's because we evolved around fire and would use it at night for light, thus having positive associations with lights at night.
>>34252095
Damn anon. Where is that?
>>34252027
They can be; notice how there are very few people in most of these shots. But plantlife is better generally, sure
>>34252029
Very fucking nice, thanks anono
>no foggy images ITT
Kind of angry famalam
>>34252131

>>34251612
What city is that? Detroit or Atlanta?
i love comfy threads
>rarely any shitposts
>no arguments
>everyone just being nice to each other and being comfy
>no fast threads
>civilized discussions
>>34252636
Only downside is that memelords sometimes arrives in thread.(frogposter, wojak and Gandola posters)
Otherwise it's great.
>>34252584
The anon I saved it from said it was Minneapolis, not sure though. I know it's definitely not ATL, I've never seen a bridge like that
>>34252636
These threads are the truth of /r9k/ anon. Here, coming together to appreciate something unique to shared aspects of our lives, something others do not. I love comfy/nightwalk/vaporware threads- they are the essence of this board. Free from hatred and longing
>>34252636
>rarely any shitposts
>no arguments
>everyone just being nice to each other
All we want is comf in these threads. Nothing else
Thats why these are the best
Can't find any good pics of my idea place.
>very small room
>like 5'x8' just enough to lay down
>floor is a bed
>dimly lit
>only objects in room is PC/desk/peripherals/blanket+pillow/food
>90% of light is coming from the PC in front of me
>browse boards and watch animu/Netflix until I pass out
>don't come out for a month
This is honestly my dream.
I saw a documentary (I think it was VICE) on mini Japanese hotels where people had super small room like that (no not the pod hotels where you only lay down) mine is the same just upgraded for extra COMF
I live around here.
It's a really comfy place
Originally comfy as fuck, senpais
>>34252760
i wan't to live in an apartment like that so badly thats its practically my #2 dream
>tall building
>living on a high floor
>seeing the city at night and the bright purple sky during the snow or rain
>>34252760
I want to take the longest, hottest bath in that tub
>>34252873
Fuck yes dude
I want to look outside my window late at night and just see something like this
It honestly might be my #1 dream desu
>>34252909
Sadly, you're probably going to have to be extremely rich to get anywhere near this bathroom
heave ho hello's
>tfw live in new mexico and its just a boring desert with hardly anything comfy and anything exciting
winter is getting pretty much worse and worse each year, december felt like summer with no snow at all.
atleast i have my fantasies
>>34252909
>have a tv nearby
>have a laptop nearby aswell playing some comfy ost
>cup of nice soda
>mint candies
>looking outside the window while taking a nice warm bath with the lights off only having the tv and laptop illuminating the room
>looking at the city at night at around 1:00 AM
my life goal
>>34252947
I wonder how much for just one night. i think that I'd pay it just for the experience.
>>34253057
Have a snowy pic from the northeast, new mexibro. From my hometown
>>34253178
Yeah i probably would too.
Heres another similar
I don't think cities are very /comfy/ i prefer rural areas or villages
>>34253393
Either one is nice, I just really prefer cities at night
>>34253420
I can see where cities have their appeal
>>34249433
Original content, this picture is 6 years old from my first few days at college
>>34253456
I've always had an attraction to those lights. No idea why
>tfw made a successful comfy thread
Feelsgoodman
I don't now what is it about a sunset in Los Angeles, been there just once and I felt in love with the city. Back in June-July 2014, I experienced the most beautiful sunsets I've seen.
I was a this little bar talking to strangers who either got cheated on, dumped their girlfriends-wives, got fired or couldn't get a job, while this song (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nLQUvOFEQ9U) played in the background. Wonderful memories, even though LA is pretty shitty right now, but it's a beautiful city where dreams come true.
>>34249554
tfw I live there :)
>>34253862
c-can i come live with you?
>>34249473
I really love the vibe of cities, but on the other hand I see them as tumors of humanity's industrious murder of the earth.
>>34253930
>I see them as tumors of humanity's industrious murder of the earth.
Who cares?
When pollution becomes an extremely serious threat, we will be long dead.I mean like "The earth is gonna die in one month because we polluted it too much" kind of threat
>>34249515
Yeah I like the appeal of the cityline's lights but you can't really walk in a city at night and enjoy the aesthetics alone without getting mugged/murdered/raped
>>34254010
Reminds me when i went >>34250362 here
Tons of homeless people in that city and had two encounters where i thought i was going to be mugged.
>>34254010
That's simply untrue anon. Manhattan is one of the safest cities in the world. You should come out here and see it for yourself someday
>>34254285
Not him, but hopefully one day i can
>>34250242
not every big city gets to look like that. you have to have some serious density and wealth to go along with it.
>>34255066
Im well aware of that anon.
Just would be nice to have something to look outside at, instead of just trees
>>34254285
Harlem is literally in dead center of Manhattan. Ain't no one safe at night.
Comfy thread is comfy
orig
>>34255204
>Harlem is literally in dead center of Manhattan
No it isn't.
>>34249473
Being out in nature is pretty nice, but there is something about cities that really makes me feel nice.
Something about watching all the people go about their daily lives from a highrise. Watching the ordered lines of traffic, the sense of structure in a completely chaotic environment.
Do you guys ever look at a person and try to think about what their life was like up to this very moment? Try to imagine their story, how they ended up in the same place as you in that moment?
I think we forget that everyone around us is living a life, just like ours. They're just as confused as we are. just as bewildered at everything happening all at once. they're a living breathing thing, just like you and I. Everyone faces struggles, everyone is living out a story that has moments of incredible pain, evened out by moments of bliss.
The city makes me feel like im a part of something, even if I dont interact with anyone, just being within it all is enough to make me feel real, feel human.
>>34255204
You worry too much, anon. There's some spots to avoid, yes. But the majority of Manhattan is well lit and friendly and safe. I just spent the last three weeks there and had a wonderful time.
>>34255389
However, the opposite can be just as true. Sometimes its easier to feel alone in a big city
>>34255389
desu im here for the city lights, not for the humans. The humans are just background features
>>34255597
Looks pretty podunk.
Still dont know how people find cities comfy desu. They always looked overly crowded, busy and soulless.
Comfy music
