just graduated with chemistry degree and working in retail whilst applying for laboratory roles, been working in retail for like 3-4 months.

Basically I tell myself that I'm not going to spend my life here, because I won't.

I've seen the people who've worked at this hellhole for 30+ years, their whole lives summarised by working in some retail shithole dealing with retarded customers and managers alike.

I would rather commit suicide than work in retail for the rest of my life.
