I graduated college with a cumulative GPA 2.5, and the only reason is because my first year of college I failed just about every class due to depression and anxiety. I skipped class a lot, and it really wasn't even that the work was hard I just was very depressed to the point that I didn't want to attend classes or do anything. I know people will say that's an excuse but it's really the truth, in the end I can say I finished college and got a degree though.

Of course my 2.5 GPA will haunt me for the rest of my days, I would have been fine with a 3.0 though. And I tried so hard to raise it as well, at one fucking point my GPA was 1.8 and I managed to SLOWLY raise it to 2.5. God, if I had actually done well my first year I could have easily had a 3.0 if not a 2.8 or 2.9 GPA.

My year of college was fucking awful, had no friends or anything.

Knowledge doesn't correlate with grades, there are plenty of "smart" or "knowledge" people who didn't even attend college. Some people can be book smart, or just educate themselves with books/movies as well as self-teaching themselves.
