Telling your therapist about 4chan

How do people even get a therapist

I'm nearly 30 and been a shut-in since 18 and never once been told to see one.

Keep this place a secret. They will think you are a pedo or you want to shoot ppl.

I told them about 4chan and I had to talk about it, it wasn't a good discussion
They pretty much told me to stay away from it and go on facebook instead

I don't see the point in telling your therapist about it unless 4chan is seriously affecting you. I didn't tell him, still go on it, and he helped cure my anxiety. I'm still very introverted, but I'm at least comfortable living with myself now.

I just need to tell him what I do all day since I'm a NEET without actual hobbies and I spend a lot of time on here. It's more a symptom than a problem for me though

It is possible that they only know it from trolls or what some people call bigots.

So you would have to explain yourselves if that is all they know this site from.

I told my therapist that I post on 4chan, specifically /pol/ and /r9k/, and she looked at it on her computer. She said it wasn't a healthy place for me to visit and that's when I stopped going to her.
