It's kinda the opposite for me. I like listening to other peoples problems, but when they run out of stuff to say and i've asked every detail that I can I then don't know what else to ask or talk about. Nobody really shares my hobbies or play the same boring games I do.

I never said I don't have hobbies or ambitions. I have both. I just can't seem to talk with people and hold a conversation. Sometimes I get stuck after the first few sentences with new people. Or we do talk, we talk alot for the first day or two and then it dries out. I guess this is a common problem.

But it is possible. I found my best friend here on 4chan. It wasn't on a steam friend thread, he was a tripfaggot in a general and it sort of just happened.
We pretty much chat everyday, from the time he wakes up to the hour one of us go to sleep.

Finding a person that shares the same interests is hard, but it is possible even here on 4chan.

Exactly what I was talking about above, steam threads can work if they're not given up on. It's why ctrl-f searching "id/" and seeing a lot of results pop up makes me feel good about the thread, that it's not just shitposting. My superbestfriend moved like an hour away a couple days ago.

I mainly play PoE and some wow. Can't really say I play much else. I just end up not enjoying my time playing with people for some reason. I always want to do it, but when we end up coop or whatever I just feel weird. Like i'm holding them back.

I think it's just loneliness aswell. People are super lonely and when they do find someone that gives them attention, they fall in love and hypersexualize it. Frustration and all that. I'm never bothered by it that much, I understand those people. As long as i'm not dragged into some full blown erp, i'm okay.
