In 2020 mark zuckerburg will win the democratic nomination and easily beat Pence in the general (Trump will be impeached by then). He will usher in a new era of technological progress by greatly increasing the size and number of federal research grants awarded by the US military, NASA, NIH, DOE, etc. Around this time fully self-driving cars will start to hit the road as end-consumer products. Various trends from the "core" parts of the internet set to target content creators and power users will be exposed as Russian, American, and Israeli psyops used to influence culture and elections, and a new era of internet transparency will come forward in response, simultaneously signaling the death of anonymity.

Nonetheless, we'll see things like

>the internet of things actually becoming a thing
>a gigantic economic collapse in China due to a combination of internal (housing bubble, demographic shift, increasing pro-envionrment and pro-democracy activism) and external (jobs will leave China and come back to western countries as automation improves) factors
