Can a talentless shmuck try his shot at being a race driver?
I don't have any talents nor do I have any skill that could be turned into a talent. The only thing that comes close is having my driver's license and being a decent driver. How tough is it to become a racer?
Jerry was a race car driver

Its expensive dude. Someone doesnt just donate a racecar for you to drive and replace the engine when it blows.

Racing is a talent in and of itself. That's not to say you can't do it, but you first have to spend a lot of time practicing, learning, and honing your skills to become good at it.
This, of course, applies to any other talent. So, if you can become a racer, you ought to be able to pick up any other talent.
Now, the unfortunate thing about racing is that isn't not a cheap thing to get into. If your dream is to be a professional racer, your best bet is to find a racing school, which will teach you how how to be one and may have connections to help you become one. These don't come cheap, you can except to pay a thousand dollars for a simple, one-day course.
You might be better off choosing another talent to learn.
Don't know much about it but it supposedly takes a lot of skill and years of experience. A lot of them have already started racing competitively since their early teens.
