I just miss the simple things of my childhood. Coming home from elementary school. Chatting with friends on the bus. Walking down to my childhood home with the spring breeze making its away around the trees. Waking up in my old bed, in my old room, and then playing my old video games with my brothers all day long...

Summer vacation used to be so simple and pleasant. Now, it's such a bleak time...

Wake up, go to work, come back with little to no energy to do anything. Lay in bed paralysed with fatigue. No interest in vidya, reading a good novel, hanging out with friends. Just enough energy to swipe your thumbs on a dimly lit screen in your bedroom.

A friend of mine lives in a very nice neighbourhood that resembles American suburbia, and I always felt jelaous of him because he can basically go out and walk around at any time he feels like it.

I had a really comfy day once in the summer, never had something similar since:

>put on shorts and a wide comfy shirt
>walk out and it smells like the deepest summer, a cold breeze goes through my hair

>he tells me that everything is alright and we see each other in half a year or something
>decide that I will go to uni today because I feel great and can get a shitton of studying done, I am in the middle of exam period back then

Damn, the image of a rural convenience store in the night is one of the confiest things I can imagine.
Hell, anything related to a mix of rural and urban lifestyle is comfy to me. 90% of my enjoyment of Life Is Strange was because of the Smalltown, Oregon aesthetic.

Speaking of comfy, anyone have a particular song they enjoy listening during comfy moments?
In my case, and I know this is a pretty normie choice, it's Rhubarb from Aphex Twin. It just feels like it can go with anything.

I haven't played vidya in years (uni & work) but want to get back in to handheld gaming... mainly for the comfy feels of sitting on a train with a game in-hand.

Which system should I get? PS vita or whatever it's called, or one of those new nintendo DSes?

I'd recomment the 3DS, it's the one I have, and I feel that Nintendo makes the best games. I haven't regretted any of the games I got for it.
I haven't been paying much attention to the Nintendo Switch, but isn't it handheld too? Maybe try waiting for that one.

I want to visit a small town in Europe one day

The one thing I hate about school is knowing that even I go to sleep the minute I get home, I won't get to stay in bed as long as I normally would when I have the day off.

Despite the circumstances of my life, growing up in a poor black ghetto, divorced parents, had 1 friend in elementary school and she moved away without warning, no confidence, low self esteem, manlet, and sleep issues I managed to have a comfy house with a backyard, which is all I ever wanted

My comfy day from last summer

>clean 8.5 hours, feel good
>chill day at work, boss buys us drinks and popsicles because it's kinda hot outside (work forestry)

>lays down in the grass
>I finish my beer and join her, just petting her staring up at the sun shine through the trees
>head to the gym, entirely focused on lifts, no distractions

>take my board out for a ride, headphones in, no thoughts

>best friend calls invites me to chill in his pool
