Take out is actually pretty terrible if you're looking to save money. Ignoring the bad nutritional values, it's also way overpriced, since most meal are mostly rice or noodles with a few vegetables and a little bit of meat.

Rice and beans and a cheap cut of meat, like chicken thighs or liver will be way cheaper, even when you take into account the preparation time, on top of being tasty and good for you.
