I don't think swallowing improperly or mouthbreathing would make it asymmetrical though, maybe lead to a recessed chin or something

Mouth breathing definitely causes receded jaws and uneven growth of the teeth, perhaps if you have badly crooked teeth it may have led to an uneven development of the lower jaw.

I've always been ugly but that obvious assymmetry is just the icing on the cake
