I think that's taking it a bit to far. To be frank, I don't like how the US pretends to be allies while really they are just the boss who we are subservient to. The fake pretension kind of irks me.

But who else would you like to be the uncontested super power? China? Russia? India? Much worst.

Also if the EU goes through with the whole EU Military and actually manages to make it work, then the US will become hostile to us just like they are hostile to any of the other world powers. It would only lead to more war.
