Fun fact: Trains are the most efficient form of transportation by far, in terms of fuel consumption in ratio to cargo capacity. Only the air in front of the first car needs to be displaced, so total air resistance is extremely low; and the coefficient of friction for wheels on rails is almost zero, so minimal fuel is needed to actually keep the trian moving, as momentum does most of the work.

Boats? If we're talking strictly fuel consumption to cargo capacity, sailboats use zero fuel and can carry some cargo. I don't know for sure because I'm not autistic, but I think even engine-powered freight ships carry a lot of cargo while using not that much fuel. I imagine they take advantage of ocean currents and trade winds when they can.
