I've run a regatta before and I would've fucking taken the marshals heads off for that

That aside women really do tend to be incompetent coxes at a way higher rate than men. Pretty much every crash in a race I've ever been involved in was caused by a female being unable to judge ditances correctly, not steering / making calls assertively enough etc.
