Computer programmer/computer handyman

Theoretically 80k/year but actually far less than that since my pay is capped (and by the hour).

My company is growing and I'm not sure if I like it. There's more bureaucracy and bullshit for everything, and I have to talk to marketing and documentation people all the time who clearly don't get the complexities involved (they're nice people, but it gets very aggravating having to explain things over and over again). On top of that my long-time officemate and I are forced to come to an office with people coming and going all the time making it impossible to focus, not to mention they're short on desks since there were only enough in the office for the marketing people.

Even if I was paid less, I liked it more back then since I was largely allowed to do whatever I wanted when it came to reaching company goals (so long as I eventually accomplished them). At least I'm still allowed to set my own hours since the CEO doesn't believe in forcing people to come to an office and be unproductive.

Order Fulfillment Associate at Home Depot for $11.63/hr.

we're the ones that work behind the scenes to get store deliveries ready, prepare will calls, grab online orders and sort out the special orders when they arrive at the store. i spend a lot of the day on the phone with trucking companies, distributors and anxious customers asking if their stuff is there yet, the rest of the time im wandering in circles trying to find things that departments lost track of or dont have enough stock of to fulfill my order. it keeps me moving constantly all day and im never in one place long enough for a braindead customer to come up and start asking me dumb questions about something i know nothing about.

as far as retail goes its not a particularly awful job but im grossly overqualified for it and it doesnt pay enough for the amount of product knowledge, corporate operations knowledge and software abilities we need to do our jobs properly. at least the rest of the associates understand the amount of work we do and respect us a lot for the unseen contributions we put in to make the rest of the store work properly.

Apply everywhere and anywhere. Get customers to give you constant good reviews. Do everything quick and by the book. Do not fall into the "I'm hourly I'll do as little as possible" meme. Avoid calling out. Learn as many things/positions as you can. Get as many awards/certificates/licenses as you can.

I started working at Wendy's for 15 hours a week. I learned as much as I can and made myself become good at every position. Became supervisor in 6 months, A.M. a year later, GMIT 6 months later. Got my servsafe, quit, got a job doing insulation. Got good, got my confined spaces, learned lots of aspects about the job. Same thing with solar. Got hired, busted my ass as ground guy carrying all the panels. Got on the roof, got good and became lead. Then foreman for a bit. Learned how to make stuff work and now my job isn't as strenuous and I still get paid well.

Call me a cuck but working hard and learning as much as you can does pay off. It just sucks being at the bottom of the ladder. Keep applying ANYWHERE. The job doesn't matter;your work ethic does. Not even memeing.

Then I jumped right into a pretty rigorous cooking job and had fun doing what i went to school for, but got fired and now i just dont want to cook again. The pay is decent, and most of the guys don't show up till 9. Only a deaf mute guy and a mute guy show up at 8. So we just sit quietly and drink coffee. It's very chill.

The government in Denmark pays for it. The goal is to train them to get a real job, though it's unlikely any of them will ever get one.

One guy thinks he is the 'idea guy' and draws really shitty drawings of the thing we are currently making. For example, when we build benches for parks & rec he draws the bench and then he gets all proud for 'getting the idea'.

I run a small anime/comic books/trading card store but I'm about to give it up to try antiques dealing. That should hopefully give me more free time to learn Japanese so I can one day become an importer/wholesaler for Japanese products since they're quite expensive here.

I've also been a hotel cook, a falconer, run a market stall and sold Victorian books.

It's lots of moving, being on your feet, remembering things, and also interacting with normans, but in terms of jobs I've had previously, it's the best one.

My coworkers are shitty liberals but they're nice enough and easy to get along with. The store is tiny so there's not a lot to clean, and most of my shifts aren't longer than 4 hours.

Basically, it's something to do for a part of my day that I'd otherwise spend being unproductive, it isn't too difficult and I get paid 11 bucks an hour for it.

Residential heat and ac repair. Long hours, lose pounds of sweat daily, and not great pay. Short hours, easier work, even less pay in the winter. Started at 12 shekels an hour. They say all the overtime usually evens our pay out to what it would be if it were 40/week all year.

I'd recommend it to fellow robots desperate for a job. Read: desperate. If you have better options, take them. But AC jobs are easy to get in the south. A lot of people turn into vaginas when they realize how hot attics get and quit, or get fired for being a retard who can't troubleshoot the problems. So there's always openings in the summer, and is best time to apply. They're desperate to fill the empty truck as soon as possible, which is how I got it. I was a friendless, virgin, skeleton, with no social skills. Got a 2 year degree at community college, which took my money and didn't prepare me. Then applied to less than 20 jobs, bombed a few interviews, and met one company desperate enough to hire me.
