these types of bottles are prime for pissbottling since they hold a lot of piss. I keep these six around and empty them out regularly when I have the house to myself (or when my mom's asleep). Regular water bottles like the ones in OP's image are ok if nothing else is around but I've noticed you can fill them up remarkably quickly if your bladder is full of coffee/tea or water.

Those 1gal jugs of water are king, though.
