Ehhh the problem is wholly due to semantics. I mean, for someone to be gay, do they have to commit a homosexual act once? Do they have to have a majority of their sexual experiences be with a man? Do they have to be attracted to men? Do they have to primarily be attracted to men?

In my mind, someone is gay if they're only attracted to men... they could have sex with all the women in the world, but if they aren't attracted to them they're still gay. This, of course, goes the other way as well. A man can have sex with all the men in the world but if he isn't attracted to them, then the isn't gay.

It really just depends on how you want to use the word.

Attraction is even more ambiguous than sex. You could raise equally pointless questions like, does attraction mean getting an erection from something?
