I live in the ghetto, but I don't let the ghetto live in me. I grew up here, moved away for near 10 years, then came back, as this is the only place worth living, that a young family can afford on even >$50k a year.

Anyway. I love my house, I do love the city, and even the immediate neighborhood is quiet as a church at night, but there have been three shootings within a mile of here in the last week, all on the same nearest crosstreet.
this shit always happens in the wee hours, when we are locked up tight at home. Our garage and driveway are cozily fenced in with complete privacy. We have an alarm system. I really love this dualistic ghetto with the fabulous million dollar historic homes and the hookers down the street, but I know that could change at any moment.

The Hispanics markers have great deals on produce and marinated meat, and fresh tortillas, and I will be able to get a district transfer for my kids, so I am doing the best I can.

What makes me retarded? That I like sunshine? Snow capped mountains? Beautiful deserts? Warm beaches? Historic homes? Museums? Theme parks? Mexican food?
This city, in particular, has tons of historic buildings, history reaching back near 200 years (a lot for the US), and an organic, interesting layout, which is majority small businesses. I hate giant strip malls that look they came out of a factory, and miles and miles of identical tract housing.

On the street I live on there are three churches of different denominations and a Buddhist monetary. There is indian, Greek, Mexican, Jamaican, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Peruvian etc food within 3 miles of me. As well as 5 private colleges, and one major university.
There are more than half a dozen museums within 3 miles, as well as art galleries, and two vibrant downtowns. There is ALWAYS shit to do, shit to see, shit going on, and delicious food to eat! We have a drive-in! Double feature for $9 and a full menu concession with reasonable prices. There is a zoo 30 minutes away.

It IS nice! You have Lincoln Park, which is a spectacular neighborhood of historic homes, probably homes worth $800k and up, Spanish villas, Craftsman homes from 1910 with 5 bedrooms (but only one bathroom, because you were lucky to have it back then) Tudor style homes, colonials, very style you can think of (mine is ranch style,not glamorous, but functional), and then 3 blocks away, I shit you not, you have Holt ave. once the sun starts setting we like to play "spot the ho" you can normally spot 4 or 5 crushing a few miles, but the cops have really been cracking down.
A lot of shootings lately, though. Normally it just ramps up in the summer, but the last couple weeks has been busy too.

Lived in and near Fresno my whole life. I had a brief identity crisis where I would try to act tougher than I really was. In real life I was a fat manlet with disgusting teeth and poor hygiene. Its a strange feeling. Ive grown around a 70% black population. My highschool was roughly the same percentage, maybe even higher. I think some black people are really cool, but a overwhelming majority are loud, mean spirited, and glued to social media flexxing. Its an endless cycle of trying to impress one another with retarded shit. They also get upset over thinking a teacher is racist for kicking them out for talking, and try to make it on worldstar or something. They also have a somewhat acute sense of humor (dont understand basic sarcasm and shit like that) Maybe this is the same for whiter schools but i wouldnt know. I hate the ones who call you "white boi" even though they know your name. Its fucked up and weird. It aint that bad overall, i never got robbed at gunpoint or anything crazy. Just the original bike + phone stealing once.

Im 19 now in a pretty white college and its more people minding their own business and not talking to anyone. People are much more friendly but i cant help but feel like its fake and artificial. Trying to be non-bias and just sharing what ive experienced. /End of autistic analysis
