How do I turn down a guy who won't take no for an answer? He's been trying to manipulate me into caving in to dating him, but yesterday I was straight forward saying goodbye and everything. This is over texting because I'm afraid of him. His response was that I should call him and hang out this weekend.

I googled him and found some creepy things about his personality do I don't want to anger him, he knows where I work. Will provide textual proof if needed.

Do you think it would be a good idea for me to go back to community college and finish year 12?
Mostly I want to do it because I want to have friends and a gf.
I did year 11 at a community college and numerous people made an effort to be my friend but I just gave them the cold shoulder.
I even had girls approach and talk to me but I could only give one word replies and never smiled cause of my autism and anxieties.
So much regret. The years before that when i was in a traditional school I was a complete loner as well.

I worry I'll go there and just hate everyone again and the year will play out exactly the same as before.
I turn 20 this year.

He knows where I work, that's how we met. He comes in to buy wires and computer parts for his job as an engineer. We got along because he's suave like a Chad so he asked for my number. The first time I said no, then like a few minutes later he handed me his phone (with add contacts open) then said "so when am I going to get your number?" I told him I probably won't respond back so he winked and left.

I've never been into cars from the 50's that much, but that's a pretty neat car. I imagine it would handle like a boat but i've never driven anything that old. How's the interior?

>>34127163
Manuals are better in my opinion but it's still a nice truck. Trucks are usually pretty reliable too, just watch out for rust. And there might be a title transfer tax or something, but it probably won't be too expensive considering the value of the vehicle. I'm not an expert on that though, so I would do some research.

>>34127275
I have trouble falling asleep a lot because I'm not tired, but when i finally do fall asleep i sleep like a rock. I have trouble waking up and getting out of bed sometimes though. I usually go to bed around 11 or 12 in the winter, and i'm usually up by 7. I don't sleep a lot, i'm usually pretty energetic. In the summer i go to bed when it's dark and get up when the sun rises. Obviously tonight i'm probably staying up way later than i usually do. You might want to try gradually changing when you go to bed to get on a better sleep schedule. And once you have a good sleep schedule try to stick to it, even on weekends.

It does handle like a boat. Being used to more modern cars it's going to take some getting used to. The interior looks great, although it's missing some upholstery in the back pillars. I got a bit lucky because the guy who restored it needed to move on to other projects, so for what it looks like it was fairly cheap. Looks very new. I don't want to post any pictures of it because I feel like it would be too recognizable. You don't see many of them around.

I'm feeling pretty bad today. I had to buy some textbooks at my university bookstore, and the girl i've had a crush on for almost a year now works there. I see her often on campus and i've had a class with her, I even hung out with her a little bit at a uni event, but i don't think she likes me at all. She probably doesn't even know who i am. I went to her register to buy the books and she talked to me like any other customer. I'm honestly not surprised, but it is still kind of crushing.

>>34128323
Yeah i hate four door cars, but at least the new chargers are pretty fast. The biggest crime though is not making them come in manual. I hate automatic transmissions in sports cars, if you can't be bothered to learn how to drive a stick don't buy a sports car.

>>34128367
But toyotas are harder to find in some parts of the country and are far more expensive, they have a taco tax.

So as for last semester, as you know we went to that one holiday event together and that went well. Then we studied together for a final and all at the library and that went well. We kinda did our own thing the whole time but we would talk occasionally. It was time well spent and was pretty productive and I got to spend it with her so it was definitely a win-win-win situation. After that I wasn't gonna see her until after winter break I thought so I said my byes to her. Was gonna give her a hug before I went but I felt like it would have been forced at the time so I played it safe and didn't. I'm pretty fearful of seeming needy so I actively try to avoid that.

Fast forward to last week. I'm back at school for a two week class I'm taking and there's a basketball game one of the days.Earlier I'd talked to her some about how her break was going and I found out she was coming to the game as well. We couldn't sit together of course since I have to play with the band during the game and she's just a spectator but I knew we'd see each other. At the game she was sitting a few rows behind me with her sister and we made eye contact and kinda waved and smiled at each other. The way she does that is so cute. She like has this huge smile on her face and waves and it really feels like she's happy to see you. It brightens up my day 100% of the time desu

After the game she texted me (I repeat, SHE TEXTED ME FIRST! pic related was pretty much my reaction) saying it was a pretty fun game and we texted a bit after that.

if your driving a stick shift, its already better than my automatic charger man, yeah challengers are probably the only new muscle that kept its old appearance. new camaros are ugly, mustangs look alright though.

is it appreciable or is it pathetic to send a contact request to a femanon who deletd you on skype? i'm ot sure if she's expecting me to say sorry again or if i should let her alone since she deleted me and i already apologized one time.

I run almost everyday, but i can't now since all the streets and sidewalks are covered in ice, and the city is too lazy to put down some salt. I slide all over the place just walking to class. I don't want to slip and hurt myself, i really don't mind the cold. I want to start cross country skiing more, but i need to get a new pair of boots for that, and i'm broke at the moment.

Here's a nice (You), anon. How's your day going?

model T's are pretty cool. I think it's kind of neat how primitive they are. Apparently they were really hard to start up, and they had a throttle lever instead of a pedal like cars today

>>34129175
thanks anon, it's nice to hear from you again. I'll be waiting to hear about you and that girl, i hope it's good news. and what do you think about the pontiac fiero?

I'm glad you like the Supra, everyone calls me a ricer for liking them
>>
>>34129330
Shame GM killed the Fiero cause it was faster than the Corvette. Fun little deathtraps

It sucks when you cant run it's my best way to exercise and the high is pretty good along with reflecting on your thoughts during the run, anyway its 6:46 going to try to sleep good luck robot

(continued)

I was feeling pretty good about the fact that she seemed excited to see me earlier and her texting me first so I pushed a bit. I told her that we should go grab lunch or something to start out the semester and she responded like "that sounds great! just let me know when you'd like to do that" so that worked somehow.

Fast forward to yesterday. I texted her asking when she planned on getting back in town for the start of the semester in regards to planning lunch and since she lives close to the school (like 45 mins away) she just said she was probably coming back the day before classes (probably to max amount of time at home, which is fair) and so I told her depending on when she gets back we can just figure out if there's time then, so she said she'll let me know when she's back around campus. We then kind of just had some banter about school and applying for internships and shit like that and I gave her some advice. She seemed pretty thankful for the information.

Long story short I think it's going well and I'm liking where things are headed. She like 90% probably thinks of me as at least a friend at this point and is pretty comfortable around me I think. I think we'll hang out more this semester too so there's a lot of things that can happen but we'll see.

I gotta shout out you, OP, for giving me that idea about asking her about getting some food. The fact that she was open to it was a good sign I think!

Sorry to make you read all of that but I just kinda wanted to talk about it.

Something about driving an automatic, even in a fast car, feels kind of soulless. It's like a computer is telling you when to shift and how to drive. all you really do is steer. With a stick you feel like part of the car. I'd take an old shitbox in manual over the new supercars with the automatic transmissions in a heartbeat.

>>34129320
I would leave her alone. If she deleted you she probably doesn't want to talk. What is the story behind her deleting you?

>>34129395
I wish GM would bring them back, but i know it will never happen, and even if they did it would be awful compared to the original. I also don't think they would be safe enough for today's market

>>34129396

I'm happy for you anon, she sounds like a nice girl. Do you have any classes with her this semester?

I get the whole manual thing but to me it's not very important. I still enjoy driving my slushbox corolla

My 4th grade teacher used to have a yellow Corvette. Dunno how she afforded that shit as a teacher. Rich husband maybe?

>>34129569
Yeah she's a real sweetheart. I'm weak to those types of girls. I unfortunately don't have any classes with her this semester but we should definitely be able to see each other and hang out since we were messaging each other one day about going to check out/study in some of the libraries around campus together at some point. She said that sounded good too, so I'm hoping to be able to follow up on that. I'm thinking maybe 2nd week or something once classes start picking up I'll tell her I'm hitting up the library and ask her if she wants to come with me or go later in the week. Even if we're doing a lot of studying it'll just be nice to spend time with her and keep each other company in the library so we can stay sane even while studying
>>
>>34129569
heard that my dude. well said, driving an automatic sports car/muscle car is soulless. if it wasnt for the good deal I got on my car I would have gotten a challenger. obviously they make sport cars in automatic transmission to appeal to a wider market.
>>
>>34129647
C4 Corvettes are dirt cheap, so that could be how she got one
>>
>>34129120
I used to enjoy tonnes of things, now I just can't get into anything anymore, I was actually happy as a NEET for 6 years. But that had its pitfalls too, I really think work is killing me.

I work so much and my free time is always spent with family, they always want me to visit. No time for fishing anymore. Sometimes family feels like an obligation, but they were all there for me when I went through some rough years.

What car would you buy for 30k 40k and 50k? I could probably afford a pretty decent car but even those lose their luster after a while. Right now I have an NC Club Miata, kinda fun, but the ride can be pretty rough. Thinking of a Lexus. Then part of me wants a sports car too. Touch choice with so many cars on the market and so many amazing used cars to choose from.

To each their own i guess. I know lot of people who like cars but prefer to drive automatic.

>>34129647
Yeah that sounds like a very good plan. try to spend a lot of time with her so you can get to know her better. And good job studying, i almost never study and my grades show it. of course if my crush wanted me to study with her i might do it, but otherwise i'm just not interested in studying or school really.

>>34129700
I'm worried that in the near future manual transmissions will be phased out entirely. and rear wheel drive, i feel that it's on its way out too sometimes.

>>34129705
teachers can make pretty good money, and they get nice benefits. and some people will spend their whole paycheck on a car

>>34129710
For 30 or 40 thousand i could buy almost any car from the 80's or 90's, the only cars i would really want. I would probably buy a clean Supra or a C4 Corvette ZR1 if i had a lot of cash laying around, or of course a fiero and save the rest for speeding tickets. You always could buy a nice sports car for the summer and then a cheap truck to use as a winter beater if you live where there is snow.

What do you do for work? And how did your family help you out?
>>
>>34130002
I work a blue collar job and my family helped me out while I was NEETing it out and also during 2 major surgeries. Probably giving away too much identifying info already haha. I LOVE 90's cars, but when I sit in my friends RX7's and Supras, they just feel so outdated inside, hard to live with as daily driver. Having 2 cars can also be a hassle as I've tried this in the past.

Supra is really really really nice though. My dream car is a mid 90's NSX. I think the 90's had the nicest looking cars, or maybe I grew up as a teen during those years and lusted after those cars on the road.

Any tips for owning an 80smobile? I feel like I should replace everything. Alternator, water pump, etc. Instead of waiting for stuff to break and leave me stranded

NSX's are sweet, I would kill to have one. I have no idea how much one form the 90's would cost today though, but they can't be common.

And to be honest i prefer the interiors of older cars. They're less distracting, and i don't care for luxury features at all anyway

>>34130226
be proactive about maintaining and replacing things. I would check everything pretty often so if you do have a problem you catch it early. I would do a ton of research to find everything out. Try to get an original owners manual and service manual too, it will probably be full of stuff you'll want to know
>>
>>34130536
Well luxury features aren't a big deal to me, but man those old plastic interiors and console designs were pretty bad. I wish I had bought an NSX used about 10 years ago, they're more expensive now for the same cars as they were back then. They're really hard to find for a reasonable price.
