>parents kicking you out at 18
is this an American thing?
Yes. In America, the concept of family has no moral or cultural basis and is a commercial enterprise where one has children to "complete themselves" as if it is some sort of video game achievement.
>>34122612
If you're kid is an asshole yes.
yea it's great
>shit tier retards get married/knocked up young
>their kid grows up in near poverty
>kid hits 18, gets booted the fuck out
>little options in life, goes no where fast
>marries young, has kid young
>the cycle repeats
this shit has been happening for generations now.
I kicked myself out at 18, my parents probably woulda let me stay a few more years.
>>34122612
I guess so, I was booted out at 18. But they made sure I had a job and place lined up before I went, they weren't unreasonable about it.
I was kicked out at 16 for reasons that I don't even remember I just sort of stopped family after that
yes, specifically a white american thing
t. 22 year old hispanic living with mummy who never even hints at kicking me out or ""paying rent""
>>34123575
You're 22 and you don't pay to live with your parents?
You have no idea how fucked up America is.
If you don't have white conservative friends AND family you might as well end it. Luckily I have both
>>34122612
Yeah, an american thing.
If i was to go back to Morocco and live with my parents, they would never hint at geeting me out and would never consider making me pay a rent
>>34123701
no, mummy makes enough to support all of us :^)
I should feel ashamed i guess but its really not odd, almost everyone I know in their 20s still live with their parents
>>34123701
Hey look. Blatant normalfaggotry.
>>34123508
>borderline normalfaggotry
>>34123523
>nomie sounding
>>34123529
Probably cyborg.
>>34123482
>real talk
>>34123812
It's not living there that's shameful, it's not contributing to the house.
I left my house at 17. I had a place to stay and was accepted into college.
But in America it's a cultural thing that once you become 18 you are an adult and need to strike it out on your own.
>>34123482
yes, I resent my retarded parents for making me; another retarded person.
>>34123867
Not him, but latin american here.
Not everyone was born in easy mode like in america.
I can't contribute because I have no fucking money, I'm 22 and my sister is 27 and we live in the same house, because we can't just buy houses like we buy clothes.
My dad has a good job, so he has enough to pay for us all, and he's ok with that because he's the boss.
>20 year old student
>Live on my own
>Parents pay rent + more
>Grandparents give money
Easy mode is nice
>>34123867
Nah it's shameful. It's really embarrassing to tell a girl you're still living with your parents after the age of 21, especially if you're not in school anymore.
>>34123817
>>Probably cyborg.
?

As if women were still on the table for consideration.
Pretty much.
My parents actually want me to stay at home. I am 22 and have three younger siblings, two of which are little kids. I pretty much pay off my rent and something on it by helping them around the house, playing the familly secretary, nanny, bookkeeper and courier. They can not organize anything if their life depended on it.
Still I am an university student with a wageslave job on the side and our home is getting too small for all of us. I plan to get on student bennies additional to my miserable pay and get the fuck out of here. Certainly glad I am not American, there is not much you can do nowadays if you fly out of the loop early.
>>34124286
It sure is, but why if a girl still live with her parents is not a big deal like it is if a guy still lives with mommy and daddy?
>>34123867
>>34124286
I'm a girl and when I turn 22 I will finish school (hopefully) and I won't find a job or be able to move out right away. It's not as easy for everyone and I don't see why it's bad
In these shitty times its hard to move out after high school. It's perfectly normal for people aged 18-24 to be living at home still as long as their working to improve their circumstances. I'm 21 and hope to move out in mid 2018. I live in southern California in the most expensive city in the country , rent here for a bedroom apartment is like 1200 a month in an OKAY area.
>>34122612
Yeah, its a relatively recent meme that I believe stemmed from all the media of country kids moving to NY or Cali to "make it" and the sitcoms that starred on their own 20 somethings with jobs you never saw but apartments that looked way too good.
Couple of decades ago it was perfectly fine to be over 18 at your parents house as long as you werent a NEET.
>>34123482
Oh no, if only there was some way to break the cycle.
>disadvantage your children financially by making them pay rent when every other culture of people help them by letting them stay rent free to get ahead
really makes you think
Canadian here. I'm 24 and my parents have told me I can live with them as long as I have to. I wouldn't be able to afford my own place on minimum wage, and there would be no benefits in moving out. It's not like I'm bringing girls home or have friends to invite over.
>>34126693
I prefer having warm showers and electric lighting thankyouverymuch.jpg
But yeah it is pretty ridiculous, even though I have a pretty good paying job for my level of education, I will have to save up for a decade before I will be able to afford the deposit for a small flat in the area.
>>34126889
>taking warm showers
Good job falling for memes, loser.
>>34123575
>>34123701
>>34123812
This is pretty normal for hispanics.
t. A hispanic.
Pay rent goy.
>>34126997
Sorry but if anything buying a house a shit investment if you dont plan on living there for atleast a decade.
>Apartment
Anything stops working, the super is supposed to fix it
>House
Something breaks. Do it yourself or get fucked, kiddo.
>>34123817
Hey look its the guy that calls all the shots here on who's a robot and who isn't.
>why not actually contribute to the thread you faggot.
>>34122612
>is this an American thing?
It's a Nordic thing actually.
I'm a turkroach, if I had gone to a medical school (I decided to study electrical engineering) I'd have still been living with my parents at age 23. It would have been perfectly fine desu :3
>>34124286
If you base your actions on what some cum filled slutnuts decide is reasonable you can expect a shit life. What kind of retard takes advice from sexually active women? Its like finding a hooker on craigslist and asking her for life advice.
It's mainly an American thing that's kind of going to the wayside as millennials flock back home in droves because they have no real world work experience and are thousands of dollars in student loan debt, so they can't afford to live on their own. It's not uncommon to have Americans living with their parents wageslaving away into their late 20s nowadays.
Back in the day, you either had a job right out of college at 21/22 or you enlisted on your 18th birthday because your home is not your home anymore.
>>34126643
Well, anon's probably not gonna have kids so that breaks that cycle but the larger trend is staying.
>>34129318
They have super high levels of socialism, though. While it probably won't help you get a job it certainly helps living out of home and reduces the chances of a rough patch forcing you to move back home with your parents.
